The Treasure of The Flint Mines
The Flint Mines proved to be a reliable source of income for the many men that required it, however the mines had proved time and time again that it’s grounds are not a safe haven for those who venture it, and is far from peaceful for the men who had worked there. It is said the mine’s and the like are possessed by the essences of a spider spirit, the insects of evil driven spirits had ruled the caves and mines of Whetstone and Flint County in the times of the Dwarf legacy, eight legged brutes that stood 6 ft in length and in alarming numbers they dominated, some lurk in the nights to discover new nesting grounds, or even new producing mates. When dated back to the ancestral courage of the spirit’s kin, it had released many of it’s blood relatives in their physical form. The potent energy of the spider spirit gave the advantage of creating and defining it’s lineage in an effective and dynamic measure, and so it’s blood relatives had created multiple vast colonies in other caves and other hidden-like subterranean areas. It is still said today that the imprints of the ancestral colossal spider leaves behind it’s contrasting spider nets, when once entangled it’s complexity describes itself of a labyrinth, a true struggle for those who end up in the coils of such an antique stamp of the colossal spider. The evidence entails as men of today have lost fingers or severed their limbs to free themselves of the spider web’s mesh. The lineage of cousins are descendants of a spiritual kin with mystic potent energy, which when evolution had run its course the monstrous insects of immense physicality had adapted to the environmental changes as an end result.

It was Arardron, one of the Last Dwarf Kings, that realised the potential of the mines and caves. When Arardon had made his mark on the caves and mines nearby, he sought to rid of the manifested mines for the price of luxury and treasure that had lurked beneath the rubble. The might of the men of the Dwarf's were their only army, and so with their transcendent-like swords and plates, Arardon sends his mighty warriors to cleanse the place of the spiders and claim the mines for themselves, the slaying of such beasts were executed without any major cost of the Dwarf’s and their people. The colossal spider webs were no match, nor were they able to, in any way, penetrate the armour's the dwarfs had possessed. They cleansed the place and killed most of the spiders, the rest escaping. The Spider Spirit escaped into the Other worlds too threatened to return. However it wasn’t the end of them, especially not for the eight legged brutes that crept in the dark. The cleansing of the beastly creatures of the night were the result of an earthly gold mine, with the gems of such rarity and cost, with the fine precious stones set in the terrain’s wedges had fulfilled the dwarf’s with joy.

Their villages turned to fortress, then their fortresses turn to castles which proved the mines and their sources to be useful for the Dwarf's and their people to further strive and conquer the terrestrial land.
